Update...BIG TIME!

I love reading everyone's blog, and decided it would be good to keep mine update. I get carried away with posting things on Facebook and don't even think about my blog.  So here is our life in the last 8 months!
May and June of 2012 were busy crazy months. With school ending and Summer beginning, we had a lot on our plates!
 Afton graduated from her first year of preschool which she loves!

We celebrated Afton's 4th birthday and Landon's 11th birthday! It is such a nice time of year for a birthday party outside!  The first few photos are of Landon after he was born. I had uploaded them to the computer for something else, so I thought I would include them. He is such an amazing kid!

June was a fun and busy start to the Summer, which is also fire season in Utah. We had a few fires a little too close to home. Carter and Afton started swimming lessons (Landon decided to pass this summer). We spent a lot of time at Willard Bay and Bear Lake and made the COOLEST Star Wars present for Brandon for Fathers Day!  We also finally got to see the new Polar bear exhibit at Hogle Zoo. Awesome!

 

July and August brought more trips to Bear Lake which we discovered as our new love. Now just to find a way to get a boat!  Brandon and Nicole went to see John Michael Montgomery in concert, only to learn that he is NOT at his best live on stage. We weren't sure if he was sick or just completely wasted. Afton got completely pampered by getting her first pedicure. Good times!

We were so sad to see summer go and school to begin. Luckily the kids were very very excited to get back to school and a better routine. Landon started 6th grade (yikes!!) Carter began 3rd grade and Afton was in her 2nd year of preschool. Houston was the lucky one to stay with mom!  Afton started a dance class and had her first recital right before Halloween. She was so adorable! We weren't sure how she would react to being on stage, but she ate it up!  Halloween of course is always so much fun. Pumpkin patch, dressing up and trick or treating. This year we found a house near us that had a ton of carved pumpkins in the front yard. This guy was amazing!

 November means Birthday time for Carter and Brandon! We loved playing in the leaves and had our first huge snowfall! Little did we know it was nothing compared to the snow that was to come.
